Regeln: Eine Regel des Spiels wurde nicht beachtet
Detaillierte Beschreibung
• Welcher Teil der Spielregel wurde durch die BGA-Adaption nicht beachtet?
The score = the number of cards in your army. Says that for both solo and multi-player modes. However, the game is scoring solo and multi-player differently:
In SOLO, score appears to = the number of UNUSED cards you capture.
In MULTI-PLAYER, score seems to be ALL the cards you captured, used AND unused.
Are they supposed to be different or the same?• Ist der Regelverstoß in der Spielwiederholung zu sehen? Falls ja, bei welcher Zugnummer?
Yes, you can see throughout the game that all cards captured are scored. The score does not match the number of unused cards.• Welchen Browser benutzt du?
Google Chrome v130

5. Nov 2024 0:54 • I checked the rules on publisher webpage : nerduragames.com/pentaquest
For MultiPlayer games, it's mentioned as follow :
"Players take turns clockwise, using the same rules of solo play. If a player can't beat a card on his turn, he must discard an army card before passing the turn to the next player. If he owns no army card, he simply passes the turn. When there are no cards left in the deck and quest zones, compare the number of cards in each player's army: the highest score wins."
My understanding is that only UNUSED card should be taken into account for final score (as for SOLO games). Please confirm.

8. Nov 2024 19:19 • There is a mismatch between the rules on Pentaquest BGA lobby and the ones on game publisher webpage.
- BGA : "Compare the sum of army and discarded cards of each player: the highest score wins."
- Nerdura webpage : "compare the number of cards in each player's army: the highest score wins."
Looking forward to receiving developer's feedback to clarify this point.

You're right, I found the "revised instructions" link and indeed they say (as of today) : "compare the sum of army and discarded cards of each player".
Neverthless, IMHO this does not make too much sense in a competitive multiplayer game : if you score points even for used cards, a player is "pushed" to use as much cards as possible to beat the cards to be conquered as there is no disadvantage for using the cards.
In this way almost all 2-players games will end with a tie 21-21.

9. Dez 2024 23:53 • The rules are not respected and greatly harm the interest of the game and the tournament mode because in the vast majority of games we get a tie.
In the video presentation of the game on the Kickstarter, the final count is very clear. We do not count the discarded cards of the army.
