What is the best place to eat popcorn? The movie theater! And that’s where it all happens in this bag-building game.
In Popcorn, you manage your own movie theater, and you try to show the best movies to make your Guests happy. The game plays out over nine rounds; each divided in 3 phases. You may buy a new movie, build or upgrade your theater, or use advertising to attract new guests.
You draw Guests at random from a “bag” to see who has shown up and place them in the right seats to take the best actions, which will let you improve your cinema, influence your Guests, grow your audience, and gain money and Popcorn.
After watching films in your theaters, guests might want to try other cinemas as the competition is fierce and they will do anything to attract your guests. But you will probably do the same… At the end of the last round, the player with the most Popcorn wins.

Wo kann man am besten Popcorn essen? Im Kino! Und genau dort spielt sich alles in diesem Bag-Building-Spiel ab.
In Popcorn leitest du dein eigenes Kino und versuchst, die besten Filme zu zeigen, um deine Gäste zu begeistern. Das Spiel erstreckt sich über neun Runden, die jeweils in drei Phasen unterteilt sind. Du kannst neue Filme kaufen, dein Kino ausbauen oder erweitern oder Werbung schalten, um neue Gäste anzulocken.
Du ziehst Gäste nach dem Zufallsprinzip aus einem „Beutel“, um zu sehen, wer erschienen ist, und platzierst sie auf den richtigen Plätzen, um die besten Aktionen durchzuführen. Dadurch kannst du dein Kino verbessern, deine Gäste beeinflussen, dein Publikum vergrößern und Geld und Popcorn gewinnen.
Nach einem Kinobesuch in deinen Kinos möchten deine Gäste vielleicht andere Kinos ausprobieren, denn der Wettbewerb ist groß und die Kinos werden alles tun, um deine Gäste anzulocken. Aber du wirst wahrscheinlich dasselbe tun … Am Ende der letzten Runde gewinnt der Spieler mit dem meisten Popcorn.
