Overview
Build up a landscape whilst making sure to have at least one private objective
Turn
You receive two double sided cards, pick one card to keep and choose which side you wish to play it as
The chosen side must be played at any 90 degree orientation i.e. not at an angle
Except for the first turn, the new card should cover at least 1 square of a previous card
The new card CANNOT cover a scoring condition space
Pass the unchosen card to your opponent and place the new card you each received
Finally, draw 2 new cards, and repeat the turn
Terminology
Touching - Orthogonally adjacent
Near - Orthogonally or Diagonally adjacent
Connected - Orthogonally adjacent to other spaces of the same terrain
Border - The very edge of your display
Into - Goes from one edge of a space to an orthogonally adjacent edge, but does not have to appear on both spaces
Past - Is orthogonally adjacent to another feature, but does not meet that feature directly
X Spaces From - Count the distance Orthogonally
Game End
The game ends on the turn in which each player has 8 cards in their display, there will be 1 card left over
As part of setup, a shared objective was played, this is first scored
After which, each player scores private objectives created during the game
Warning: If a player has no Private objectives, they CANNOT score the shared one
Each private objective included in a player's landscape, regardless of whether it scored or not, lose that player 10 points each
The player with the most points is the winner!
If tied, the player with the single highest scoring objective wins!
