The tie break says the winner is the one with most points on buildings.
If a tie persists, then the one with the most 'pieces'
I had the same number of points, same number of points on buildings.
I had 7 buildings to my opponent's 6.
I had 4 workers to my opponent's 4.
It seems to me like I should be the winner.
Maybe the game is counting the number of coins as 'pieces' somehow?
Or maybe the game is counting the number of buildings that have no abilities?

The tie breaker in this case ended with the number of remaining coins you had, because you had the same number of points scored from completed buildings and machines.
The 'pieces' the tie breaker refers to are the remaining coins you have.
