• Welche Spielaktion wolltest du durchführen?
When I played card Mars University, it also activated Mars University (as it has a Science Tag), this is ok. However the card indicates that I "may" discard a card, however I was not given an option not to discard. I was forced to discard a card in my hand.• Was versuchst du, um diese Spielaktion auszulösen?

discard is not optional. Activating effect is optional - it asked about this.

It did this exact thing to me right now. I was able to undo my turn, but if this forcing was the case then I would not have bought the card

The effect of Mars University is:
"When you play a science tag, you may discard a card from your hand to draw a card".
When it triggers by a science tag (Or itself when it is played), the following text appears:
"You must confirm Discard Card from Hand ⤇ Draw Card in Hand [triggered effect of Mars University]",
along with two buttons: "confirm" and "skip".
If you do not wish to discard a card, click or press "skip".
There is no bug here, the card functions as it should.
